A beautiful sea facing property nestled in the dunes of a nature reserve. The client is passionate about architecture, and we worked careful with them to develop a house that celebrates the sea view, block the harsh SW winds and frames internal views of private courtyards. The concept is to connect a private courtyard to the sea by juxtaposing a low single storey space with a double volume. The house picks up on the vernacular colonial architecture of the area and interprets this in a contemporary way. The house celebrates leisure and the activities of being on holiday, whether its just hanging out our hosting guests.
