The clients were respinsible for legalising marijuana in South Africa and are commonly known as the “Dagga Couple”. This hippy temple is designed as a multifunctional space that enable esoteric retreats and live music performances. The entire building is generated out of sacred geometry and the inherent properties of grid shell architecture. Grid shell architecture embraces natures efficient structural forces and pays tribute to the transcendental spirit of the client. We hope that Myrtle will build this project as a way of paying tribute to her deceased husband, who was a vital part of fighting for the liberation of marijuana use in this country. He will always be remembered as a freedom fighter and loving soul.
